Tea with Mr. Fuzzypants

5 of 5 stars

Author Trisha J Wooldridge brings something original to the table with her middle-grade horror novella, Tea With Mr FuzzyPants!  I was hooked on page one and was eager to learn more about the family life of the characters. The author peppers in this information throughout the story, keeping the whisper of horror always present.

It's hard to do creepy and adorable at the same time, but Wooldridge manages it with very unsettling results. Well done!

Wicked Witches

5 of 5 stars

All of the stories were great, fascinating reads, but a few were particularly exceptional.  A story told as a poem, titled simply Witch, by Author Trisha J Wooldridge, chilled me to the bone. I loved the secrecy and the reclusive nature of the girl who they called a witch. A girl who only wanted to be thought as good.

There are stories that will make you cringe, some will make you shudder and more than one will make you cry. Izzy Lee and Tricia Wooldridge tell tales of lost children that will break your heart not just because of the grief but because of the courage these women exhibit. What would you do to claim your child? I have loved every story but these two spoke to me in secret ways that only women understand.

Witch by Trisha J. Woolridge - Another poem fitting for this collection. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of most poetry, but I loved this story and the way it was told.
